What is prayer?
Scripture references in blue.
Prayer Is Relationship
Prayer is simply talking with God, just like you would talk with your closest friend. The Bible says, “Pray without ceasing” (1). This doesn’t mean you must pray every second, but prayer should be woven through your life (2).
Jesus modeled prayer for His disciples (3). He showed that God cares deeply about every concern. Prayer brings peace in any situation (4). Take everything—big and small—to God. Prayers of thanksgiving and requests for help both matter to Him.
It’s not about finding time, it’s about making prayer a natural part of your daily life. Pray in the mornings, before meals, while you drive, or before bedtime (5).
God always listens, and sometimes He speaks directly and quietly to your heart (6).
Take everything—big and small—to God (7). Prayers of thanksgiving and requests for help both matter to Him (8).
Prayer:
“Father, help me know how to pray. Thank You for listening. Teach me to depend on Your wisdom and peace.”
Reflection:
Think of three things you’re grateful for and one challenge you’re facing. Give them to God in prayer.
