  • Before Christ

Ernie grew up in southeast London with three older brothers in a single-mom household. His family's life was marked by hardship, violence, and struggle. After a troubled youth that included street crime and credit card theft, Ernie was ordered to community service in a recording studio - a twist that led to a record deal, viral MTV exposure, and performances alongside major artists and being in many VIP rooms with artists like Boy George.

At the height of fame, he lived in limousines and enjoyed a lavish lifestyle.

    Everything Changed

In 1990, Ernie encountered the Gospel through a childhood acquaintance, and six months later his life was completely transformed. As his faith grew, he left his former lifestyle behind while still crossing paths with influential figures in the music industry. He collaborated with D-Influence on the track "Salvation" shortly after they were selected to support Michael Jackson, and co-wrote music with members of Roachford while recording Mysteries.

Standing at a crossroads between industry success and fully following God, Ernie chose faith walking away from drugs, a record deal, and the pursuit of fame to live in obedience to Christ and sing for Jesus. Embracing a life of humility, Ernie worked simple jobs to provide for his family.

He later married his girlfriend, Karen, and despite financial struggles, their faith in Christ remained unshaken.

    Calling & Legacyy

Today, Ernie uses his musical gifts to share the Gospel and has spent over 16 years pastoring and pioneering church work in Northampton, UK. His life stands as a testimony that true fulfillment is not found in fame or fortune, but in surrender to God's calling.

    The Importance

Ernie's testimony reflects God's transforming grace and the truth that no one is beyond redemption. His journey from the club scene to a life surrendered to Christ offers hope to those who feel distant from God, showing that faith can grow from curiosity and love. His story reminds us that God meets people where they are and invites them to choose purpose over popularity and faith over fame.
