KINDER - 5th GRADE

EASTER AT THE CROSS: A reverent hands-on experience remembering the suffering and death of our Savior and His incredible gift of forgiveness.

Classes visit nine stations to learn about the events surrounding the crucifixion of Jesus. At each station students participate in activity to personally respond to the suffering Jesus experienced on our behalf.

  1. The Beginning (Luke 9:51)

  2. The Last Supper (Matthew 26:26-28)

  3. The Garden (Mark 14:32-39)

  4. The Denial (Luke 22:54-62)

  5. The Condemnation (Matthew 27:22-25)

  6. The Suffering (John 19:1-3)

  7. The Crucifixion (John 19:16-18; 28-30)

  8. The Darkness (Mark 15:46)

  9. The Forgiveness (Romans 8:1)

MEMORY VERSE: Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (ESV)

FAMILY DISCUSSION STARTERS

  • What was special about tonight?

  • What part made you the most sad to think about what Jesus did for us?

  • Why is Jesus’ gift of forgiveness so incredible?

6th -8th GRADE

Classes joined the main service to receive Communion.
