MEMORY VERSE: Matthew 22:36-38
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment.”
FAMILY DISCUSSION STARTERS
This week, we discussed what a worldview is and compared a worldview to a map. Explain to your family what a worldview is. Ask them if they can figure out how a worldview is similar to a map. If they can’t do this, explain what you learned today!
As a family, draw two maps of your house—one map that is True and another map that is not.
Look at the map that is not correct. Discuss what might happen if someone believed the map was True and used it to get around your house.
How is this similar to a worldview? What might happen if we believe things that are not True about who we are or how we are supposed to live?

LESSON 7: GOD REDEEMS JOSEPH’S ADVERSITY (GENESIS)
MEMORY VERSE: Genesis 1:1-3 “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.”
What lessons can we learn from Joseph’s victory over temptation?
Why is it important to do the right thing, regardless of the outcome?
How does the knowledge that God is with you in hardship help you battle things like discouragement, depression, and isolation?
